A landman, at least one who works in the oil industry, will act as an intermediary between exploration companies and landowners. Typically, a landman’s job is to negotiate and finalize contracts with landowners with mineral rights to lease those rights to the company they represent.
They are well written and entertaining
Like a foreman on a construction site, they build roads, workers’ housing (camp people), oversee the assembly of excavation machinery, and the drilling of the site itself, especially in remote locations. They are also part Fixer, Problem Solver, and Facilitator, as well. I seem to be a fan of Taylor Sheridan’s shows.
It’s extremely free
I would happily watch anything with his brand attached at the moment. But what about the girl in her underwear and the creepy sexualization of her? It’s extremely weird how obnoxious she is about it.
The ex-wife is just ugggh
It’s almost so much of a turn-off that you don’t want to watch. I’m invested in the story so far. I don’t even understand why the women are so unpleasant.
It’s a real head-scratcher
Is the show just geared towards drawing men? I love Billy Bob. He’s always a plus.
