After being released from prison, mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi is deported to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he builds a new criminal empire with a group of unlikely characters. The opening credits sequence shows various photographic and painted views, as well as Oklahoma landmarks imposed on the New York landscape: A statue of a Sioux Indian chief “Touch the Clouds”; wearing a War Bonnet and Bone Choker necklace (breastplate) placed atop the Brooklyn BridgeGolden Driller Statue imposed on the Statue of LibertyRoute 66 Western Gateway Arch imposed on a Major Manhattan “Avenue”. In New York City, in the borough of Manhattan, these are a number of numbered “Avenues”; which are crisscrossed by smaller numbered streets.. Sylvester Stallone absolutely kills it in Tulsa King!
Sheridan continues to hit home run after home run
You knew that for Stallone to make a TV show, there had to be a good script and of course it would be created by Taylor Sheridan. He is the best thing happening on TV right now, with incredible shows like Yellowstone, 1883, The Mayor of Kingstown, etc. And movies like Sicario, Hell or High Water, and Wind River.
I mean like on?
Everything he touches turns to gold. One of the other writers is Terence Winter, who wrote shows like The Sopranos & Boardwalk Empire. There was no way this show could be bad with these two at the helm.
Stallone plays a very likable tough guy to perfection
