The film’s biggest flaw was simple: many of the characters in this film are hyper-exaggerated to the point where you can’t take them seriously. For example, Brendan Fraser, despite being a Hollywood icon with some really great movies under his belt, was infuriating in this. His character had a cartoonish, exaggerated and somewhat childish behavior pattern that was simply not believable.
